What do you do to get good cardio exercise throughout the day?  Do you spend hours sitting at your computer without exercising?  Does your body feel stiff and sore when you finally come up for air?

I would have answered yes to all of the questions above until I started using the Bodyblade.    I’ve learned to set a timer at my desk (as silly as that sounds) and after 55 minutes of working on the computer, take a five minute break and work out with the Bodyblade.  I tend to get really engrossed in what I’m doing and hours can slip by.  I call it crawling into my computer.  Well, my body is really unhappy with that, hence the timer.

The Bodyblade has so much to offer.  I’ve been using it for several months and I notice a change in my posture, greater endurance for those long computer hours, and an increased endorphin level.    Other Bodyblade advantages include:

    Wow! That looks great! (And your son looks good too!) I can totally relate to a sedintary lifestyle! I’m going to have to budget it in! When I’m sitting too long I simply drop to the floor and do modified push ups and other lame physical therapy exercises like ‘sit to stands’ and leg lifts. The body blade would give a variety!

    Very cool Darlene, the bodyblade sounds great. It may not have reached Aus yet, I’ve not heard of it before. I can sooo relate to how you ‘crawl into your computer’ :) Every so often I feel the need to get up & burn off some energy. Sometimes I go for a bit of a trot around my yard with my dogs & other times I do a little work out on my ‘Cardio Twister’.It’s a unit that you do steps on whilst twisting your torso from side to side. It’s possible to tighten the amount of pressure required to take each step. I have it in my office, so if I’m waiting for something to load it’s convenient to jump on it until the load has completed.     This is something we should all do now that the computer takes up most of our day. Its not hard to lose 8hrs glued to the computer screen. You are very diligent setting a timer, what a great idea.
