Do you want to save some of your valuable time? Are you tired of looking up User and Password information when you visit a site you don’t frequent very often?
For years I have maintained an Excel spreadsheet with my log in and password information. When I’d forget something the spreadsheet would be my handy reference guide. There have been times, however, when I’ve downloaded a new program and failed to update the spreadsheet. What a hassle it was to locate the info, then change or rearrange that log in. It left me sputtering …
My IT guru suggested installing RoboForm. I’ve used it for the last five months and I highly recommend it to you. It is easy to set up, user friendly and will save you many headaches in the long run.
There is a paid version (if you want to sync it with additional computers), but the free version works fine for one computer.
For someone like myself who frequents many websites during the day, it’s a time saver extraordinaire!
I apologize for not going through each step of the setup process, but mine was already set up months ago. If you have installation questions please give me a holler.

Thanks for reminding me of this extremely useful tool!
While I love technology, I’m a little “stuck in the Dark Ages” on this issue …
Like you, with the large number of usernames and passwords that I have, I tend to forget some of them, however, I keep all my information in an actual notepad … yes, a paper “have-to-use-a-pen-to-write-in-it” notepad!
I should actually type them up and save on a memory stick as a backup to be on the safe side, however, when I started online, the small number of usernames and passwords that I had didn’t warrant (in my mind) being anywhere other than in that notepad.
I’ve heard many people speak highly of this Roboform Password Manager, so it may just be time for me to check it out for myself!

Thanks Darlene…yes the password issue is a big one. I tend to use passwords as a form to keep my brain working…however I certainly get tired of the constant input. I will have to check it out and I very much appreciate the heads up!

Oh my god that is awesome Darlene. I too have a spreadsheet full of passwords and it is getting so big that it is becoming ineffective. Isnt it great that there are others out there making our life easier. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Darlene for this great post. I am embarrassed to say that I have a little spiral bound pad that my passwords and Id’s are written on. And of course there are lots in my head because “I know I will remember that one.” I send many requests to reset the password so I guess that isn’t a good plan! This will be a great tool as I continue to access more sites it will save so much time.

I’ve been using Roboform for years and I definitely recommend it to people. How else are we able to keep track of all the passwords for all the hundreds of sites we belong to? Thanks!
